Broader

This is the final track on the LP. It is also the third part of a triptych of pieces on the album that utilise the same set of musical phrases (The Island and Precinct being the other two). In this instance, these phrases form part of the chorus.

This one was relatively easy to get done, mainly because I had a bit of a headstart with the arrangements, and it does happen to be quite short. That said, I do feel that I am beginning to improve my ability to finish things, which is something that I have struggled with in the past.

It seems like I’ve now reached a milestone of sorts with regards to completing the LP. However, there is still some work to be done on some of the earlier tracks, which have a few snags that need fixing and some could also benefit from an updated mix.

I’m also planning to release an EP prior to the LP, which will contain a track from the album and a bunch of remixes (which are also nearing completion). I still have no idea when any of this will be released, but I’m fairly confident both should be out at some point during 2023. Both the EP and LP will be digital only releases and made available across all major streaming platforms.

If you want be kept notified of further news on these releases then I would suggest following me on either Instagram, Bandcamp, WordPress or Spotify. I still have a Twitter account but am not actively using it at the moment.

When I started work on the LP, I decided to post updates on my blog whenever I finished a track, as well as posting the rough mix on Soundcloud. I always knew that this was quite an unorthodox approach, but thought it might be a way of creating awareness of what I’m doing without having to resort to social media overkill. It quickly became apparent this wasn’t such a great idea, but still I decided to see it through to the end and this is the last such post. I will also have to take down the rough mixes at some point soon, so enjoy them while you can.

Wishing you all a happy new year, and I hope to be able to bring further news on release dates as soon as I can.
